The third Hunter Brain Cancer Forum (sponsored by MHF) was held in Newcastle on Friday 10th of May, 2019. It was a brilliant day for patients, carers and their loved ones to hear all the latest updates and research on topics in relation to brain cancer. This was also a great opportunity to connect with other patients and carers going through the same journey.
Guest speakers included Neuro Oncology Nurse Practitioner Marina Kastelan, Neurosurgeon Dr Mitchell Hansen, Medical Oncologist Dr James Lynam, Social Worker Kate Jordison and Clinical Psychologist Catherine Adams. Stalls who provided further support materials were held by CanTeen, NSW Cancer Council, Brain Tumour Alliance Australia (BTAA) and the Hunter Cancer Biobank.
